• Finished her twelfth season as Head Coach at Southwest Missouri State University –West Plains (SMSU-WP)
• Named Region XVI Coach of the Year ten times
• 2000 and 2002 Junior College/Community College Midwest Region Coach of the year
• 2004 recipient of the Tachikara Victory Club for her 500th college career victory
• 2001 West Plains Citizen of the Year
• NJCAA National Tournament Appearances

• Coached 59 All-Region XVI Selections

• Outside Attacker for the Kansas City Lightning which went Volleyball Association Women’s Professional League
• Two-time All-American at Drury University (1987, 1988)
• Two-time USAV All-American (1997, 1998)
• Outside Attacker for USAV women’s team, Power Angle, which finished second at the 1997 and 1998 USAV Adult National Volleyball Championship
• Inducted into the Drury University Athletic Hall of Fame, 1995

 

Camp #1 –All Skills Camp
July 6, 7 & 8 (Wednesday - Friday)
Cost: $175 Commuter, $225 Resident
(Dorm & Meals)
Camp schedule: July 6 -1:00-3:30 p.m. /5:30 p.m. -8:00 p.m.
July 7 -9:00-11:30 a.m. /1:00-3:30 p.m. /5:30-8:00 p.m.
July 8 -9:00-11:30 a.m. /1:00-3:30 p.m.
For players entering 7th-12th grade in the Fall of 2005.
All Skills Camp will give players a strong background in the fundamentals of volleyball. Registration: Resident -12:00 noon Wednesday at the Grizzly House.
Commuter – 12:30 p.m., Wednesday at the West Plains Civic Center.
All campers receive a camp T-Shirt.

Camp #2 –Setters Day Camp
July 11 (Monday)
Cost: $60

Camp schedule: 9:30-12:00 noon /1:30-4:30 p.m.
For setters at all levels of play in grades 5-12. This is a great camp for beginners as well as the advanced setter. All aspects of setting will be covered. We will start with the technical aspects of the position, teach play sets, and cover how to run an offense.
Registration: 9:00 a.m. at West Plains Civic Center
All campers receive a T-Shirt.

Camp #3 –Junior Varsity and Varsity Team Camp
July 13, 14, 15 & 16 (Wednesday – Saturday)
Cost: $175 Commuter, $235 Resident
(Dorm and Meals, Meals will be provided through breakfast on Saturday. Dorm space is limited. Overflow will be placed in local motels).
Camp Schedule: July 13 -1:30-4:30 p.m. /6:00-8:00 p.m. (skills review day)
July 14 –Team practice sessions throughout the day
Competitions 6:00-8:00 p.m.
July 15 –Team practice sessions continue.
Tournament plays start at 1:00 p.m.
Option 1- A camp coach will be assigned to your team for skill and practice sessions.
Option 2 –Coaches, if you would like to do your own practice sessions, we will pay you as a camp coach.
Call and make arrangements with us for the option you would like to use.
Must have a minimum of eight players per team.
(Coaches stay free if minimum number of players is met).
Team coaches will be in charge of coaching their team when tournament play begins.
This camp will be a lot more than just playing games. The first day is a skill review. Then we have team practice sessions to prepare for competition, followed by great tournament play.
Registration: Resident -12:00 noon-12:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Grizzly House
Commuter -1:00 p.m. Wednesday at the West Plains Civic Center
All campers receive a camp T-Shirt.

Camp #4 –Team Competition Camp
July 15 & 16 (Friday and Saturday)
Cost: $225 per team

Camp schedule: July 15 -1:00 p.m. Competition begins
July 16 – Competition continues
This camp is open to both Varsity and Junior Varsity teams (separate divisions).
Minimum of 6 full matches guaranteed.
Awards for 1st and 2nd place teams in both divisions will be given (1st place –Tachikara Ball Cart, 2nd place –official MSHAA game ball).
Registration: 12:00 noon on Friday at the West Plains Civic Center.
Coaches must have signed releases on all players at this time.

Camp #5 –Attacker/ Setter /Defensive Specialist Camp
July 17, 18, 19 & 20 (Sunday – Wednesday)
Cost: $210 Commuter, $250 Resident (Dorm and Meals)

Camp schedule: July 17 -1:00-4:00 p.m./ 6:00-8:30 p.m.
July 18 &19 -9:00-11:30 a.m. /1:00-4:00 p.m. /6:00-8:30 p.m.
July 20 -9:00-11:30 a.m. /1:00-4:00 p.m.
For High School age players as well as college freshmen. This camp is designed to help each player develop in the position of their choice. Defensive and offensive strategies will be taught as well.
Registration: Resident -12:00 noon, Sunday at the Grizzly House
Commuter -12:30 p.m., Sunday at the West Plains Civic Center
All campers receive a camp T-shirt.

Camp #6 –Elementary Day Camp
July 21& 22 (Thursday and Friday)
Cost: $60, $75 with lunch provided

Camp schedule: 9:00-11:30 a.m. /Lunch Break /11:30-1:00 p.m. /1:00 p.m.-3:00 p.m.
For players entering 3rd-6th grade in fall of 2005.
Fundamentals and fun will be stressed.
Lightweight Volley-lite volleyballs will be used for 3rd and 4th graders.
Registration: 8:30 a.m. Thursday at the West Plains Civic Center
All campers receive a camp T-Shirt.

Camp #7 –Camp at Your Place
We are available for mini camps at your gym. Call the SMSU-WP Volleyball Office at 417-255-7950 for details. Ask for Trish or Paula.

Coaches Clinic
August 13 (Saturday)
Cost: $50 Pre-Registration, $65 On-Site Registration.

Camp schedule: 8:30 a.m. –Check-In and On-Site registration
9:00 -11:45 a.m. –Clinic “Teaching the Skills of Volleyball”
11:45-1:00 p.m. –Lunch Break
1:00-3:00 p.m. –Clinic “Blocking Strategies, Defensive Strategies –finding ways to be successful with Rally Scores”
3:00-4:00 –Drills to meet your needs (Send in any requests you have for drills on techniques or teaching game strategies, etc.)

GENERAL INFORMATION
Where: All camp sessions will be held at the West Plains Civic Center.
Ratio: The ratio of campers to coach will not exceed a 12 to 1 ratio.
Equipment: All equipment for camp will be supplied by the Grizzly Volleyball Camps except for personal clothing. All campers should bring comfortable gym clothing and court shoes. Extra socks are suggested.
Volleyball Apparel: Volleyball apparel will be sold throughout all camps.
T-Shirts: Each camper will receive a Grizzly Volleyball Camp T-Shirt.
How to Register: Complete the attached registration form and mail it along with the full camp fee or a deposit of half the total camp cost.
Make all checks payable to Grizzly Volleyball Camps. All registration forms are due by June 15, 2004. Space is limited. Camp will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis.

Refund Policy: Refunds will only be made if requested a minimum of two weeks before the start date of camp.
Camp Confirmation: After application and check are received, each camper will be sent a map and camp confirmation. A signed release form is required at registration.
Dorm Campers: Bring bedding and towels.
Awards: Awards will be given at the end of each camp.
